Counselling & Coaching
Areas of Expertise
I am a licensed counsellor with expertise in trauma therapy, particularly in assisting individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including childhood trauma, developmental trauma, complex PTSD, sexual assault, accidents, sudden financial or personal losses, and living in physically or verbally abusive environments.
I've also extended my support to families and couples facing relationship challenges, offering strength and guidance during their most difficult moments. Additionally, I've shared my knowledge with over 300 individuals in an NGO, covering essential topics like personal well-being, effective parenting, and strategies for improving marital relationships.
As an HRDC Accredited Trainer and career coach, I've walked alongside individuals dealing with personal issues and mentored professionals facing career and workplace challenges.
Furthermore, I have received comprehensive training in evidence-based trauma treatments, including Brainspotting Trauma Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). These therapeutic modalities serve as a solid foundation for guiding you on a transformative journey of healing and restoration.
I wholeheartedly believe in your capacity to conquer trauma, anxiety, depression, and personal challenges, and in couples and families surviving their trials with the right support. As your guide and counsellor, my unwavering commitment is to offer you the individualized support and guidance you need to overcome these obstacles.
My Eclectic Therapeutic Techniques
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT is designed to help individuals improve their psychological flexibility, which refers to the ability to be open, adaptable, and present in the moment while still staying true to one's values and making committed actions.
Brainspotting (BSP)
A relatively new and innovative form of psychotherapy used to help individuals process and heal from various psychological and emotional issues, including trauma, anxiety, and stress. Brainspotting is based on the idea that our eye movements and where we gaze can influence how we process emotions and traumatic experiences
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
A widely practiced and effective form of psychotherapy or talk therapy. CBT is grounded in the idea that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected and that by changing our thought patterns and behaviors, we can improve our emotional well-being.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)
EMDR is primarily used to help individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences and is especially effective in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy
The Satir Model is based on the belief that individuals and families can experience personal growth and transformation through healthy communication and genuine self-expression. It focuses on improving relationships and emotional well-being within the context of the family system but can also be applied to individuals and couples.
